They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

5. Analysis Tools and Advertising

WP Statistics

This website uses the analysis tool WP Statistics to statistically evaluate visitor access. The provider is Veronalabs, Tatari 64, 10134 Tallinn, Estonia (https://veronalabs.com).

WP Statistics enables us to analyse the use of our website. In doing so, WP Statistics records, among other things, log files (IP address, referrer, browser used, user origin, search engine used) and actions taken by website visitors on the site (e.g. clicks and views).

The data collected with WP Statistics is stored exclusively on our own server.

This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the anonymised analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both our website and our advertising. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymisation

We use WP Statistics with anonymised IP addresses. Your IP address is shortened so that it can no longer be directly attributed to you.

7. eCommerce and Payment Providers

Processing of Customer and Contract Data

We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content design and modification of our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any existing statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

8. Our Own Services

Handling of Applicant Data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by email, by post or via an online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that your data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

If you send us an application, we process the associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be passed on to persons involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data Retention Period

If we are unable to offer you a position, you decline a job offer or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g. due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

Longer retention may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the Applicant Pool

If we do not make you a job offer, we may be able to include you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application will be transferred to the applicant pool in order to contact you if suitable vacancies arise.

Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and has no bearing on the current application process. The data subject can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, provided there are no statutory reasons for retention.

The data in the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.

Data Protection Information

Since 25 May 2018, the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has applied throughout Europe. This regulation standardises the handling of personal data by private companies and public bodies across the EU. It is therefore necessary for companies to engage with the General Data Protection Regulation and determine what consequences it has for their business operations. This means that all processes in which personal data plays a role, such as collecting, archiving, storing and deleting, must be identified and documented. In addition, all persons whose data is affected must be informed about how their data is handled, or consent must be obtained for the use of the data. This is a very complex topic, as it concerns applicant, customer and supplier data as well as the personal data of the company's own employees.

Duty to provide information when collecting personal data from the data subject pursuant to Art. 13 & 14 GDPR
